EATS: 07-21-24

Mood:

Not wanting to get up. Frustrated that the house looks like blech and it’s up to me to fix it. Antsy about finances.

Breakfast:

  • What I ate: Toast with butter, it was the nice Seattle’s Best French Bread in the big round loaf and the land o lakes butter. I made a coffee in my nice big sailing mug but really didn’t get to finish it.
  • Hunger Before: No.
  • Satisfaction After: I finished, I didn’t feel overfull.
  • Dining Experience: 4.0/5. I was eating while dealing with kids, but I did get to sit down and eat. Even if I didn’t get to finish coffee.
  • Why/Thought: I have a right to a basic breakfast.

Lunch:

  • What I ate: leftover mongolian beef and rice. Half of a gigantic cosmic crisp apple.
  • Hunger Before: No.
  • Satisfaction After: Yes. Possibly more than I needed to but when I put the beef and rice in the bowl (small corelle bowl) it seemed like close to the right amount. Oldest ate the other half of the apple–because I had it cut up.
  • Dining Experience: 4.0/5. We ate on the porch while Jackie was napping. It was delightful.
  • Why/Thought: I wasn’t specifically hungry I don’t think, I wanted to stop working, and it seemed like the only decent reason to stop working was to eat.

Dinner:

  • What I ate: Dominos Pizza. One slice of medium pepperoni and bacon, two slices of large thin crust chicken bacon ranch, two pieces of stuffed cheese bread.
  • Hunger Before: No.
  • Satisfaction After: It sounded delicious when I bought it. It tasted pretty good. But along the way I realized it didn’t taste as great as I was expecting.
  • Dining Experience: 4.0/5. I sat by myself in the kitchen and it was nice. I also tried out the seat cushion that I got for the kitchen chair. It fits and it made the chair actually somewhat comfortable.
  • Why/Thought: I wanted to try one of each thing I bought, and the thin crust pizza just seemed like it had such small pieces that I felt justified getting two. And then I was just clearing my plate. I even knew I had had enough. I just was not stopping.”

  • Satisfaction After: yes
  • Dining Experience: n/a
  • Why/Thought: n/a

Wins:

There were a handful.

  • I sat for all three meals today. Oh, and I had three meals and I didn’t have snacks.
  • While I was not acheiving hunger, and I was eating more than I needed, I am cognizant that each meal was less than I would normally eat.
  • I got some dishes done, I got part of the fridge cleaned out, I got part of Mt. Laundry Everest put away, I got some listening to my investing class done, I got sheets changed on my bed. I had some one-on-one time with husband for a few minutes before we started running around with the kids.
  • I’m almost to 9k steps for the day, and I’m not sure I was wearing this watch the entire day.
  • I am journalling, even without the interwebs availble.
